Trips to northern India are rarely complete without a visit to this amazing building, but Agra has other worthwhile attractions including the magnificent Agra Fort, where Shah Jehan was imprisoned by his son. Here, in the palace within its walls you will see the magnificent white marble and intricate sandstone carvings that have made the area so famous. A short drive from the city you will find the wonderful palaces of the "ghost city" of Fatehpur Sikri and Akbar's Tomb on the road to Delhi is also worth a visit.
