The traditional ‘private’ house boat is an ideal way to explore the emerald backwaters of Kerala and watch the world go by and enjoy some birdwatching as you peacefully drift along.

This beautifully constructed traditional one bedroomed houseboat is completely private, with your own captain cook and guide. The bedroom is of a decent size, en-suite with air-conditioning and a fan. The boat features a kitchenette, an open lounge and dining area from where you will enjoy in the evening a traditional Keralan feast. Cruising Alappuzha, the ‘Venice of the East’, is the perfect opportunity for birdwatching as you relax on the lounging deck of the boat, looking for lesser frigatebird or perhaps Bonelli’s eagle.
