Ant's Hill Lodge is a private bush home, located within its own game reserve in the scenic Waterberg Plateau. It offers a variety of accommodation, including a family cottage.
The main lodge offers a spacious living area and dining room, both with fireplaces. Early breakfasts and sundowners can be taken on the large verandah which overhangs the gorge.
Ant's Hill overlooks a waterhole visted by a variety of wildlife, while the Waterberg itself is home to a wider variety of flora and fauna, including over 40 species of mammals including white rhino, gemsbok (oryx), giraffe, impala, steenbuck, leopard, brown hyena, caracal and civet. There are also over 300 species of resident and migrant birds.
The lodge has a variety of cottages, and is particularly ideal for families; activities are adapted to the ages of the participants with special walks for youngsters focussing on bugs and tracks. Meals and wildlife excursions are completely flexible and can be tailored. Facilities include a heated swimming pool, trampoline and sand pit, ensuring a fun and relaxing stay for everyone.
Ant's Hill can accommodate up to 16 guests, and is included in our suggested itinerary for a family self-drive wildlife holiday. It's sister lodge, Ant's Nest, is also a popular choice, surrounded by open plains where rhino often graze close by.
