Standing at the road-end just a few minutes’ drive from the park offices, Blue Magpie Lodge has 12 basic but comfortable rooms with verandah, fan and en-suite bathroom with hot water.

The restaurant serves first class Sri Lankan food and the nearby river is a perfect spot for a refreshing dip after a forest trek. Birders will enjoy the opportunity to see more than 20 endemic species in the surrounding forest – particularly in the early morning. The local guides and wardens at Sinharaja are extremely knowledgeable.
