With its 48 air-conditioned rooms, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is a cool haven at the heart of Kakadu National Park with convenient access to all the park’s attractions, and a wide selection of activities.

Accommodation consists of 38 rooms with queen-size plus a single bed, 6 triple rooms with three single beds, and 4 family rooms with queen size plus two single beds; with the addition of a cot and/or rollaway bed all rooms can accommodate up to four people. All  are non-smoking and have an en suite bathroom with shower, private outdoor sitting area, television, tea and coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board; hair dryers are available from reception.

After a full day of adventure you can relax at the pool and enjoy alfresco dining – try the unique Taste of Kakadu platter which includes crocodile spring rolls, barramundi pie, buffalo kofta, and kangaroo skewers! – or retire to your private deck to enjoy a spectacular sunrise.  A general store and gift shop (open daily) sells just about everything you might need during your stay, and there’s also a petrol station.

There’s easy access to the renowned Yellow Water Billabong, Warradjan Cultural Centre, Jim Jim Falls, Twin Falls and Nourlangie. Activities include tours to visit indigenous cultural sites and see rock art, cruises, bushwalks and fishing; you even can charter a plane from the private airstrip for a spectacular birds-eye view over Kakadu. A variety of entertainment is staged for guests – depending on the season, this may include bush-tucker talks, stargazing, bush walks, bird watching tours, slide shows, bingo nights, movies or even live music performed by local artists.
