From its island location on Lago Pehoé, this simple, traditional-style mountain lodge enjoys fine views across the lake to the peaks of Los Cuernos and Paine Grande in the Paine Massif.
Rooms are scattered over four separate buildings, and each one has its own heating and private en suite bathroom; some have a lake view, although – somewhat surprisingly – most don’t really have a view at all. All are clean and equipped with warm duvets. The hotel restaurant and bar are open to the public i.e. visitors to the national park and walkers, and offer a limited choice with a three-course fixed menu dinner. Breakfast is included in the rates, and laundry is available.
Although the rooms are a little dated and some refurbishment would not go amiss, if you can forgive this, you could hardly do better in terms of location – right on the edge of the lake, surrounded by spectacular views of the mountains and forest – particularly at sunset.
This lodge look hotel is approximately 5 km from the Pehoe catmarran with a 5 star view of the Torres mountains from the dining room and huge 2nd floor lounge. The windy road up and down to the catamaran would take 45 minutes - 1 hour to walk if you had a backpack however, the hotel can transport you to/from the catamaran for a fee and advanced notice. Wifi is strongest in the lounge/dining building where a computer is available for customer use. The dining room menu is fixed price with two choices daily for her facilities offered at the property include a laundry.
