This traditional, owner-operated safari camp, whose name means 'tooth of the crocodile', is located on a cliff top above the bank of the Boteti River overlooking a beautiful waterhole.
Located between two pristine wildlife sanctuaries – the Okavango Delta and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve – Meno a Kwena offers excellent game-viewing opportunities in vehicles, on foot, and from the relaxing surroundings of the camp itself. There are nine luxurious en suite tents overlooking the river, which is often filled with elephants - so guests can watch wildlife without even leaving their bedroom!
We recommend a morning walking safari with a Bushman group for a rare insight into their ancient relationship with nature, and a chance to see wildlife activity along the banks of the Boteti River. This activity enhances the variety of wildlife safari experiences while at the same time maximising sustainable benefits to the indigenous inhabitants of Botswana.
One of Africa’s most important wetland sites, Makgadikgadi is the only area in Southern Africa to witness a migration of tens of thousands of blue wildebeest and Burchell’s zebra when, during the rains, the dry salt pans transform into lakes, attracting vast flocks of flamingos and migratory birds.
