Created in 1958, Montagne d’Ambre was Madagascar’s first national park and derives its name from the coloured resin that oozes from some of the forest trees. It is a cool mountain oasis in an otherwise parched landscape. The well-maintained trail system make this beautiful park particularly rewarding.
