Facing the always magnificent sunsets to the west, and located at the highest point on Ngorongoro crater’s entire rim, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge stands well over half a kilometre above the crater floor and offers unparalleled views across this enormous caldera.

Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is a mid-range accommodation, that accommodates up to 190 guests and is commonly used for tour groups. As the only lodge on the eastern rim of Ngorongoro Crater, it effectively has its own access road down into the crater. The carpeted bedrooms have limited central heating, and two queen-size beds allow plenty of space to add a third bed for family use. The en suite bathrooms have shaver sockets in addition to the usual facilities.
