Accommodation in Tanzania: Selous Safari Camp
- Fact: The camp has a good-sized swimming pool - very welcome as it can get pretty hot in the Selous!
Two camps, with six and seven tents respectively, merge with their surroundings in a palm grove on Lake Nzerakera beside the Rufiji River. Each is autonomous, with its own pool, bar, dining area and kitchen, vehicles, boats, and walking guides.
Luxurious, spacious tents have king-size beds, ceiling fan, ensuite bathroom and open-air shower. To ensure privacy they are spaced along the lakeshore on individual raised decks with a large verandah. There are no fences, so the animals can wander freely.
