Located a short distance from Swakopmund’s main shopping streets and waterfront, the building of this 4-star hotel is the town’s German Colonial-style former railway station, dating from 1902.

Accommodation comprises 90 spacious and well-appointed rooms, including some family rooms and luxury suites – most of which overlook the garden courtyard. There is a swimming pool, an oasis of sparking blue water with fountains, and an inviting lawn with sun-loungers surrounded by swaying palm trees. The rooms blend aspects of traditional old world charm with modern amenities, with en suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV and complimentary WiFi internet access.

The Swakopmund Hotel was designed to complement the architecture of the historic station building which today forms part of the hotel’s public areas. Facilities include the 160-seat Victorian-style Platform One restaurant that was carefully designed to reflect the elegance of a bygone era, offering a gourmet à la carte menu or its renowned speciality buffet; there is also a gym for fitness enthusiasts and a wellness centre if you feel in need of some pampering.
