Tandayapa Lodge lies in the heart of some of Ecuador’s most diverse cloud forest areas, nestled in a secluded valley.
The main lodge building contains 12 rooms as well as the lounge and restaurant. A further three rooms are detached. There is patio at the front and spacious balcony at the rear that provides and excellent platform for relaxing and birdwatching.
The lodge is surrounded by forest and the array of bird feeders on the balcony and around the grounds are strategically placed to attract large numbers of hummingbirds – routinely 15 to 20 species visit per day – as well as other colourful species. The lodge also has a nearby forest blind and feeding station that first thing in the morning attracts a number of the more secretive forest species.
