Located 18 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls, and a short distance from Livingstone, this luxurious and tranquil lodge is the perfect place to relax after a safari, yet within easy reach of the falls.

The River Club offers 11 spacious, beautifully-designed, air conditioned chalets, perched on a clifftop high above the Zambezi, with commanding views over the river and pods of hippo. Each chalet has an en suite bath, shower and flushing toilet. The dining area, lounge and bar occupy an attractive colonial-style house, with a period-flavour open fireplace, book-lined walls, a wide verandah where breakfast and tea are served, and fascinating memorabilia.

Activities include daily trips to Victoria Falls (Zambia side), and relaxing sunset boat trips, cultural tours to a local village, and wildlife safaris in Mosi-oa-Tuna National Park. At night, the roar of lion frequently drifts across the water from the national park; elephant and hippo are regularly seen (and heard) along the river’s edge, and the birdlife is excellent. If feeling energetic, you can burning off some energy at the gym, running track and all-weather tennis court, and the infinity pool has a fine view of the river. There is even a manicured croquet lawn!

This accommodation is located in:

Victoria Falls, Zambia

Combining perfectly with a safari in Botswana, Zimbabwe or Namibia as well as Zambia, the Zambian side of the falls was once considered to be the ‘poor cousin’, by comparison with the views of the river and the falls from Zimbabwe. The two countries are linked by a spectacular iron bridge above the raging waters. Find Out More about {acc:title}
