Whilst the property does not have a restaurant of its own, the staff at Vintners Retreat will be happy to recommend and make reservations at local dining establishments.

The nearby Wairau River bank provides excellent opportunities for cycling, walking and running, and bikes are available for guests to hire. Vintners Retreat is on the Renwick Cycle route which takes in many wineries of the region and is close to Marlborough Sounds, a playground for sailing, walking and kayaking.
