As the countdown for Festival 2009 progresses, we are already preparing for Festival 2010 – the Pantanal in Brazil. Festival Co-ordinator Alison recently swapped the snow in Ingleton for the heat of Mato Grosso as she went to explore the wetlands and abundance of wildlife therein.

Wildebeest Migration Spectacle

The January issue of BBC Wildlife magazine features a special entitled ‘The 20 Greatest Wildlife Spectacles’, chosen by top naturalists and wildlife experts. We can proudly offer tailor-made trips for the opportunity of witnessing the majority of these amazing sights including Brown Bears fishing in Katmai, Alaska, the Monarch butterfly migration in Mexico and the ever popular Polar Bear viewing in Churchill, Canada. In number one place on the list came the incredible and vast spectacle of over a million White-bearded Wildebeest and their constant migration across the plains of the Serengeti and the crocodile infested waters of the Mara River.

Join us and experts Chris Packham, Mark Carwardine, Mandy Shepherd, Sophie Stafford and Jackson Looseyia in May 2009 as the Festival of Wildlife heads off to Tanzania to witness this moving theatre.
