Borneo's Rare Mammals

In recent years Borneo’s Deramakot Forest Reserve has emerged as one of the most exciting mammal watching destinations on the planet, providing opportunities to see a range of species that were previously seldom seen. Dan Free takes us on a journey into the heart of the Bornean rainforest on a quest for Southeast Asia’s rarest and most sought after mammals, including the elusive Sunda clouded leopard.

Back in the UK, working as an ecologist, he undertook protected species surveys and specialised in ornithology. Now the Manager of Wildlife Worldwide, he has led and researched trips to many destinations including the Brazilian Pantanal, Chile, The Falklands, Borneo, Japan and Ethiopia as well as many in Europe.

Spitsbergen: Land of Ice & Bears

Famed for its rugged beauty, pristine wilderness and remarkable wildlife, the Arctic realm of Spitsbergen should be at the top of any wildlife traveller’s list. Marvel at the beauty of dramatic fjords, towering peaks, vast glaciers, the Arctic ice sheet and wondrous encounters with species such as polar bear and blue whale, as Bret Charman gives you a taste of what’s on offer on our Festival of Wildlife in Spitsbergen in 2020.
