An Evening at the Barn with Chris Bakkes - Wilderness Safaris
Monday 8th October
Author and Guide Chris Bakkes from Wilderness Safaris will be joining us on Monday 8th October to give a presentation about his work as safari leader and conservationalist.
- Chris has a wealth of experience in the fields of conservation and safari leading. Most of this experience has been gained in South Africa, Botswana, Uganda and Namibia. He worked as a ranger for the Kruger National Park but, following an encounter with a crocodile, which resulted in Chris losing an arm, he travelled through Africa and then went on to manage a conservation project in Namibia funded by WWF. Chris currently leads safaris part-time in Uganda looking for mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Don't miss Chris's talk which promises to be full of excitement.
- We will also be joined by the Wildlife Crime unit (Operation Charm), from the Metropolitan Police who will be displaying a quantity of seized banned items and answering your questions.
- We will have limited places available so if you would like to reserve your place or find out more details please contact Mel on 01962 737642 or by email to mel.kinder@wildlifeworldwide.com
