Chobe's Waterways & Big Game

Experience a huge variety of animals and environments on this small, but adventurous circuit - from the lush waterways of northern Botswana, Namibia and Zambia to the fabulous big game experience of Chobe National Park, and the unmissable Victoria Falls. This mixture of hotel and lodge accommodation provides excellent value for money.
Day 1: Depart London
Depart London for Livingstone flying via Johannesburg.
Day 2 and 3: Victoria Falls [B (Day 3 only)]
On arrival you will be met and taken to the Zambezi Sun for two nights. Situated right beside the magnificent Victoria Falls it is possible to walk from the hotel grounds into the lush rainforest park surrounding the Falls themselves and to hear the roar of the waters from your room.
Days 4 to 6. Zambezi Islands [B, L, D]
Today you transfer by road and boat to the upper reaches and islands of the mighty Zambezi River. You stay at Impalila Lodge for three nights. This small luxury lodge sits on its own island at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers where four countries meet. The area is unique - an amazing mosaic of waterways, floodplains and woodland, with exceptional birdlife and game-viewing. Secluded and remote, it offers guests the very best of the Chobe River... that is game-viewing by boat and mokoro trips on the quiet backwaters, or just pampered relaxation while lazing by the pool.
Days 7 to 9. Chobe National Park [B, D]
Today you transfer by boat and road to Chobe Safari Lodge for three nights. Chobe is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa and huge herds of buffalo. This is thrilling big game country and during the dry season the enormous herds congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River, stalked by waiting predators. Other major species include Lion, Wild Dog, Puku, Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope and huge numbers of Hippopotamus. Game-viewing is by 4-wheel drive vehicles inside the park or boat rides along the river.
