Desert Experience

Jack's and San Camp are on the outskirts of the Makgadikgadi Game Reserve in the Kalahari Desert. This is the only place outside the Serengeti to follow a mass migration of several thousand plains animals. Thousands of Blue Wildebeest and Burchell's Zebra are on migration from February to early April. Brown Hyena, Aardwolf and Meerkat are sighted year-round.

Horseback safaris

Explore the vast wilderness of the Okavango Delta on horseback, riding with herds of giraffe or Burchell's Zebra across the plains, tracking Elephant or Cape Buffalo from island to island and cantering and splashing through lagoons with Red Lechwe.

Walking safaris

Embark on a walking safari learn the skills and bushlore of a traditional bushman tracker. Staying at bush camps each night, and walking each day, guests can experience a safari in the finest African tradition. Safaris operate between May and November.

Elephant-back safaris

In an ancient riverine forest and overlooking a lagoon, Abu Camp is on a private 227,000 hectare wilderness concession bordering Moremi Game Reserve. Elephants are of course the focus of the daily activities with full, and half-day Elephant-back safaris. Visits to Abu Camp may be over a 3-night or 5-night period.

Zambezi Islands

Take a short light aircraft flight from Victoria Falls, up the Zambezi River to Impalila Island. This is a most beautiful hideaway and offers wonderful birding, fishing and water-based game-viewing on the Chobe River, nocturnal river safaris and guided walks on the island.
