- Why not visit the island of Fernando de Noronha, part of a volcanic island chain just south of the equator? The island offers a combination of tropical forests and savannahs and is home to many species of bird and mammal. While at sea you may see Hawksbill, Green Turtles, Grey Reef Sharks, barracudas, rays and dolphins. Accommodation on the island is simple but comfortable.
- Chapada Diamantina National Park [4 days from Salvador to Salvador]
- Chapada Diamantina, the largest national park in the north-east of Brazil is characterised by flat topped mountains, waterfalls, deep caves, dense foliage and the occasional sand dune. During your stay you will be able to explore on foot the natural pools and fertile valleys which are home to several endemic plants, as well as caves with beautiful turquoise lakes and a whole array of stalagmites and stalactites.
