Extension ideas for Brazil

All of our itineraries to Brazil can be tailor-made and our 'Best of Brazil' itinerary is simply a suggestion. You can add nights, take them out, or even add other locations. There are many other national parks and regions of Brazil that can be included in a visit to the country. Below are a few suggestions, which might tempt you...

Fernando de Noronha [5 days Recife to Recife]
Why not visit the island of Fernando de Noronha, part of a volcanic island chain just south of the equator? The island offers a combination of tropical forests and savannahs and is home to many species of bird and mammal. While at sea you may see Hawksbill, Green Turtles, Grey Reef Sharks, barracudas, rays and dolphins. Accommodation on the island is simple but comfortable.
Chapada Diamantina National Park [4 days from Salvador to Salvador]
Chapada Diamantina, the largest national park in the north-east of Brazil is characterised by flat topped mountains, waterfalls, deep caves, dense foliage and the occasional sand dune. During your stay you will be able to explore on foot the natural pools and fertile valleys which are home to several endemic plants, as well as caves with beautiful turquoise lakes and a whole array of stalagmites and stalactites. You will be based in the old diamond prospecting town of Lencois, at the 4-star Portal Lencois Hotel.
Amazon [5 days Manaus to Manaus]
Why not explore the Amazon from a boat, rather than being based on land? Explore the river, creeks and flooded forest by motorised canoes, a native Indian village, walk in the forest and enjoy fishing, bird watching and swimming in the river.
