Extension ideas for Venezuela

Should you wish to extend or shorten your stay at any of these destinations, we should be only to happy to amend your itinerary. Perhaps you might also like to consider the following options:
Morrocoy National Park
Located on the coast to the west of Caracas, Morrocoy National Park is a subtropical paradise with long sandy beaches and the best coral on the Venezuelan coast. You may see Blue-capped Tanager, Wire-tailed Manakin and Scarlet Ibis as well as the indigenous Buffy Hummingbird and Bare-eyed Pigeon.
Angel Falls
Angel Falls has the longest continual drop of any waterfall in the world. Located in lush jungle the only way to reach the falls is by foot and canoe from Canaima. The journey takes you through thick rainforest before bringing you out almost at the base of the falls. This is only possible during the rainy months of May to October and accommodation is in covered hammocks. Guides and cooks are on hand to help with food preparation and wildlife-viewing.
Mount Roraima
Mount Roraima is in the south of Venezuela. Famous as being the inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyles 'The Lost World', it is a massive rock plateau which rises 1,000 metres from the surrounding countryside. The trek to the top is not for the faint-hearted with simple tents providing your overnight accommodation, however the rewards on reaching the summit more than compensate for this. There are carnivorous plants, indigenous orchids, the rare Black Toad and of course superb views.
Guyana
Why not combine a visit to Venezuela with a trip to Guyana, easily accessible by land and air. It is the only English speaking country in South America and is full of wildlife and natural wonders. We should be happy to tailor an itinerary for you.
