Malawi Self-drive
10 days London to London
Malawi is a very easy destination to self-drive in. Generally the roads and the vehicles are good. You may like to consider combining a fly-in safari to the north of the country with a self-drive portion to the south, or a safari in Zambia's Luangwa Valley with a self-drive add-on in Malawi. Please do ask us for advice and suggestions.
-
- Days 1 to 4. Liwonde National Park [B & L & D (Days 3 & 4 only)]
- Depart London on the overnight flight to Lilongwe, via Nairobi. On arrival at Lilongwe, collect your hire car and drive to Heuglins Lodge for a 1-night stay. On Day 3 continue to Mvuu Wilderness Camp in Liwonde National Park, where you will be based for two nights.
- Days 5 to 8. Lake Malawi [B, D]

Traditional materials and artwork are incorporated into the rooms, which are arguably the most comfortable and spacious in Malawi.

- Return your hire car to Lilongwe airport in time for your return flight home, where you arrive next day.
