Marina Svetaeva
Adventure
Named for one of Russia's most famous 20th century poets, Marina Svetaeva was built in 1989 in Poland's famous Gdynia shipyards. Originally an ice strengthened passenger vessel, she spent many years plying the frozen waters of the Arctic and northern Pacific Oceans. She was refurbished in early 2005 to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 100 passengers in cabins ranging from triples and twins to suites, some with shared facilities some with private bathrooms. All cabins have lower berths except the triples. During the refurbishment, a helideck for two helicopters was also added. Impressively stable at sea, the Marina Svetaeva is a robust vessel yet still small enough to explore places beyond the reach of larger ships.
