- Days 1 to 3. Auckland & Coromandel [B]
- Collect your hire car and drive to Aachen House for the night. The following morning drive to Whangamata on the Coromandel Peninsula where you spend two nights at Breton Lodge (approximately 147 kilometres). This area is renowned for its native Pohutukawa Trees on its west coast and beautiful white sandy beaches on its east coast. The historical past of this region is evident in the mining relics, logging dams and Maori Pa sites that dot the landscape.
- Days 4 to 7. Bay of Islands [B]
- Continue to Mangatawhiri and the Hotel du Vin (approximately 100 kilometres) for a 1-night stay before driving on to Russell in the Bay of Islands (approximately 300 kilometres), via the Opua to Okiato car ferry. Spend three nights at Orongo Bay Homestead where you may swim with dolphins, enjoy a cruise through the Bay or even play golf! The coastal waters are also renowned for thrilling deep-sea fishing for those so inclined.
- Days 8 & 9. Auckland [B]
- Return to Auckland for your final night at the Aachen House (approximately 233 kilometres), before returning your hire car on Day 9.
