The ultimate green season safari begins once the rains have freshened everything up! It's rarely possible to sail by boat along the Luangwa River as it is invariably full of crocodiles, hippos and fallen trees. However, between February and April the water is high enough to permit boat safaris - which provide a totally different view of this wildlife paradise. The vibrancy of the vegetation and the plumage of the birdlife has to be seen to be believed! And the lower prices that apply at this time of year make it a simply unmissable bargain!
- Day 1. Depart UK for Lusaka
- Days 2-8. South Luangwa
- Arrive Lusaka and continue by light aircraft to South Luangwa. 7 nights split between two or three tented camps/lodges, for example Kapani Lodge or Kakuli Bush Camp. Enjoy game drives, night drives, river-based and possibly walking safaris. (BLD)
- Day 9. Depart for the UK
- Fly to Lusaka and onward overnight flight to the UK
