This unique safari takes in two of the best, but least visited, areas of northern Madagascar. Although accommodation here is more rustic than in the south, the reward is getting off the beaten track to see a variety of less common species. These include crowned lemur and Sanford's brown lemur in the green mountains of Montagne d'Ambre, and the silky sifaka of the Marojejy rainforest. The final highlight is a visit to Andasibe-Mantadia to see the iconic indri.
- Day 1. Depart UK
- Day 2. Arrive Antananarivo
- Arrive Antananarivo - 1 night hotel
- Days 3-4. Montagne d'Ambre National Park
- Fly to Antsiranana and transfer to Montagne d'Ambre National Park - 2 nights Nature Lodge. Explore the forest, craters and lakes of Ambre Mountain
- Day 5. Sambava
- Drive to Sambava - 1 night hotel
- Days 6-8. Marojejy
- Transfer to Marojejy - 3 nights camping. Look for lemurs, reptiles, amphibians and birds
- Day 9. Antananarivo
- Drive to Sambava and fly to Antananarivo - 1 night hotel
- Days 10-12. Andasibe-Mantadia
- Drive to Andasibe-Mantadia - 3 nights Vakona Forest Lodge. One of the highlights here will be the call of the Indri indri - an eerie cry that you will remember forever!
- Day 13. Depart Antananarivo for the UK
- Drive back to Antananarivo and depart
- Day 14. Arrive UK
