Tanzania is a country of many safari highlights. This tour offers the discerning traveller a chance to visit these spectacular places, staying in luxurious lodges - the perfect wildlife combination. From Arusha, you'll journey to Tarangire, with its abundant elephants, before heading to Lake Manyara, a kaleidoscope of birdlife and from where you'll excursion to Ngorongoro Crater. Finally, you'll travel to the Serengeti - purposefully at the end, as it's surely the best finale. The time of year you travel will determine in which of the excellent camps you'll stay in the Serengeti as they're in different locations; we have planned this especially to follow the route of the wildebeest, one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth.
- Day 1. Depart UK for Arusha
- Day 2. Arusha
- Upon arrival in Arusha there's time to relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings, from your base at Onsea House (D)
- Days 3 & 4. Tarangire National Park
- Over the next two days you'll enjoy game drives and safaris in Tarangire National Park, accompanied by professional safari guides. Your accommodation is at Oliver's Camp (BLD)
- Day 5. Lake Manyara
- Fly to Lake Manyara. Manyara is a beautiful location and from here you'll visit the Ngorongoro Crater, for excellent game-viewing and sightings of hippo and elephant, amongst others (BLD)
- Days 6 - 8. Serengeti
- Your accommodation in the Serengeti will be at Sayari, Dunia or Olakira Camp, depending on the season, from where you'll go on game drives to explore this fascinating area (BLD)
- Day 9. Arusha to UK
- Depart for the UK (B)
- Day 10. Arrive in UK
