Day 1. Depart London
Depart London on the overnight flight to Arusha via Nairobi.
Day 2. Lake Manyara National Park [B, L, D]
You will arrive in time for lunch on the edge of the Rift Valley Escarpment. The afternoon may be spent gameviewing in the park. Spend a night at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge overlooking the park.
Days 3 & 4. Serengeti National Park [B, L, D]
Continue to the heart of the Serengeti where you spend two nights at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Days 5 & 6. Ngorongoro Conservation Area [B, L, D]
Head out across the Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, where you will be based for two nights.
Day 7. Tarangire [B, L, D]
Visit Tarangire today and the Sopa Lodge for the night.
Days 8 to 10. Selous Game Reserve [B, L, D]
After breakfast you transfer by road to Arusha in time for lunch and the flight to the Selous Game Reserve where you spend three nights at Rufiji River Camp. The Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest, covering 55,000 square kilometres of unspoilt wilderness and containing almost 750,000 wild animals, including the world's largest Elephant population as well the continent's largest remaining population of Wild Dog. Rufiji River Camp is in the north-eastern corner, and is set on a high bank overlooking the mighty Rufiji River and the plain beyond. The camp accommodates guests in twenty very comfortable tents, each with mosquito nets, private bathroom and verandah. Wildlife-viewing is by 4- wheel drive, on foot and by boat, where Hippo, Nile Crocodile and 400 species of bird can be observed.
Days 11 to 13. Ruaha National Park [B, L, D]
Transfer to Ruaha National Park for a 3-night stop at Ruaha River Lodge. Over 480 species of bird and 80 species of mammal may be found within this area. These include Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Lesser, and Greater Kudu, Sable and Roan, huge herds of Cape Buffalo and large concentrations of Elephant.
Day 14. Homeward [B]
After the morning's game-viewing activities you transfer to Dar-es-Salaam in time for your homeward flight, via Nairobi.
Day 15. Arrive home
