Ultimate Kenya

10 days London to London

Days 1 & 2. Rift Valley [L, D day 2 only]
Depart London for Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred through the beautiful Great Rift Valley to Loldia House, nestling on the shores of Lake Naivasha. The afternoon will be at leisure but with plenty of options! You may wish to take a late afternoon horseride or evening walk with Loldia's resident naturalist, or perhaps a boat ride on the lake to enjoy the huge variety of birds that inhabit the area.

Day 3. Rift Valley [B, L, D]
This morning take a game drive around the shores of Lake Nakuru, famous for its flamingos and other water birds. Lake Nakuru is also one of Kenya's key rhino sanctuaries and both rhinos and Leopards are regularly seen.
Days 4 to 6. Maasai Mara [B, L, D]
After a morning at leisure you fly into the Maasai Mara for a 3-night stay at Governors' Camp. (You may prefer to upgrade your stay to Little Governors or Il Moran at extra cost.) Governors' Camp was Africa's first luxury tented safari camp and is still considered one of the best places to stay. The entire camp is under canvas and its classically styled safari tents are set on the banks of the river, in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Here you will enjoy game drives, walking safaris and hot air balloon safaris, in legendary style and comfort.

Days 7 & 8. Lake Victoria [B, L, D]
Fly first thing to Mfangano Island in Lake Victoria and take a boat trip to Mfangano Island Camp, where you stay for two nights.

Mfangano Island Camp is set in beautiful gardens on a secluded bay and has six double rooms, each with spectacular views. Each morning, fleets of brightly coloured fishing boats glide past, and each evening, as you dine on the freshest of catches, their lights shimmer across the water. Spend your days exploring this great lake (the world's second largest freshwater lake), fishing, birdwatching, enjoying boat rides or walks, or simply sitting by the pool reading a book.
