- Why not include a stay in one of Ecuador 's fantastic Haciendas during your visit. There are many to choose from each offering a chance to experience a bit of colonial splendour. Many of them have been fully restored to their former grandeur and they are perfect places to relax for a few days. Ask us for details!
- Bella Vista Cloud Forest Lodge 4 days from Quito
- Keen birders may like to include a visit to the cloud forest of Bella Vista where the birdwatching is excellent, with many migrant and resident bird species and over 150 species of subtropical plants. You may even be fortunate enough to catch sight of the elusive Andean Cock-of-the-Rock!

- Otavalo Markets & Haciendas 2 days from Quito
- Drive through the Guayllabamba and Cayambe Valleys to your hacienda where you spend the night. Explore the surrounding local villages including Calderon, San Antonio de Ibarra, Cotacachi and Peguche which are famous for their bread dough figurines, woodcarvings, leather products and textiles respectively. You will have ample time on Day 2 to visit Otavalo market with its stalls selling tapestries, Indian jewellery, woollen goods, Panama hats and handicrafts before returning to Quito.

- The Chiva Express 4 days from Quito
- The one car 'Chiva Express' resembles a bus on train tracks and will take you south through the Andes to the Historic city of Cuenca. Amongst the highlights of this trip is to 'ride the roof' up the slopes of Cotopaxi volcano, with a panoramic view of this stunning Andean region of Ecuador. There will be opportunities to visit indigenous markets and the Inca ruins of Ingapirca. The tour concludes with a trip to El Cajas National Park. You stay in traditional accommodation in Riobamba and Cuenca.
