Days 1 & 2. Depart London
Depart London for Buenos Aires, where you spend the night at Hotel Claridge.
Day 3. Puerto Madryn [B]
This morning you take the short flight to Trelew, the gateway to the wildlife rich, Valdes Peninsula. Enjoy an excursion to Punta Tombo, the world's largest colony of Magellanic Penguins. Spend the night at the Peninsula Hotel, Puerto Madryn.
Days 4 & 5. Valdes Peninsula [B, D]
A short flight takes you to the wildlife rich Valdes Peninsula, home to Elephant Seals and sealions as well as the unusual Flightless Rhea. A full day trip here will also give you a chance to see seabirds, flamingoes, Guanacos, Patagonian Foxes, Armadillos, Magellanic Penguins, Orca Whales (March to April) and to take an optional boat trip to see Southern Right Whales (October to December). Spend two nights at the Faro Punta Delgada Hotel.
Days 6 to 8. Ushuaia [B]
Today you fly down to Ushuaia and Hotel Acebos for a 3-night stay. Spend a half-day cruising down the Beagle Channel, where you will have a good chance to see cormorants and South American Fur Seals. Also spend a couple of days exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park by jeep, 4-wheel drive and on foot, on the look out for Magellanic Woodpeckers, Austral Parakeets, Thorntailed Rayaditos and eagles. Introduced North American Beavers are also plentiful here.
Days 9 to 11. El Calafate [B]
Today you fly to the small attractive town of El Calafate. The incredible blue icefields of Perito Moreno, Upsalla and Onelli Glaciers will be the focus of attention during trips to Los Glaciares National Park. The nearby Lago Argentina may also reveal Black-necked Swan, Blackchested Buzzard and Andean Condor. You spend three nights at Posada Los Alamos.
Day 12. Buenos Aires [B]
Return to Buenos Aires, for the night at Hotel Claridge.
Day 13. Iguazu [B]
Continue to Iguazu Falls on the Argentine-Brazil border. Stretching for over three kilometres there is a total of 275 waterfalls set amongst lush tropical forest. Wildlife is abundant here with over 500 species of butterfly, 400 species of bird and 2,000 species of plant. Spend one night at the Sheraton Hotel and enjoy half day tours of both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides of the Falls.
Days 14 to 16. Yacutinga Rainforest [B, L, D]
A 2-hour drive west from Iguazu Falls and a short journey along the Iguazu River brings you to Yacutinga Rainforest Lodge. The lodge is set amongst 250,000 hectares of primary rainforest in the north-eastern corner of the Missiones region.

The surrounding jungle is home to countless species of birds, mammals and plants and both walking and river safaris with the lodge's naturalist guides are on offer here. There are 40 rooms each with private facilities, wood-burning stoves and great views. The main building houses a restaurant and bar, whilst outside there are botanical gardens, a pool and an elevated jungle canopy walkway.

Day 17. Homeward [B]
After a morning's activities, transfer to Iguazu airport for your flight to Buenos Aires and the UK.
Day 18. Arrive home
