Wild Newfoundland

Days 1 & 2. Depart London [B & L (Day 2 only)]

Depart London for St. John's in Newfoundland. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Quality Hotel, where you will be based for two nights. On Day 2 spend the morning whale-watching on the look out for Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales as well as dolphins, porpoises and numerous seabirds.

Day 3. Avalon [B, L]

Caribou, puffins and seals are on the agenda today. This evening you overnight at Bird Island Resort in St. Brides.

Days 4 & 5. Terra Nova National Park [B, L]

Visit the continent's third largest gannet colony, which is also a breeding site for Thick-billed, and Razor-billed Auks and Brunich's Guillemot. Landbased whale-watching is on offer in season (mid- July). Continue to Terra Nova National Park for a 2-night stay at Clode Sound Motel. Moose, Black Bear and Osprey may all be seen, with activities on offer including hiking, birdwatching, beachcombing, sea-kayaking and horse-riding.

Days 6 & 7. St. John's [B, L]

A morning boat trip to view Bald Eagles, whales and icebergs is planned on Day 6, with an exploration of St. John's on Day 7. Spend your final two nights at the Quality Hotel in St. John's.

Days 8 & 9. Homeward [B (Day 8 only)]

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, where you arrive the next day.
