This small group safari mixes a few nights camping, with friendly, professional staff who travel ahead to set up camp, with comfortable lodges. Starting with a guided tour of Victoria Falls and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, you head into two of Zimbabwe's best known national parks. Hwange is renowned for its herds of elephant and buffalo, while picturesque Matopo is home to black rhino, roan antelope and other wildlife, plus a myriad of birdlife. The trip concludes with a visit to the mysterious ancient city of Great Zimbabwe.

- Day 1. Depart UK
- Depart on an overnight to Victoria Falls via Johannesburg
- Day 2. Victoria Falls
- Arrive Victoria Falls - 2 nights Ilala Lodge. Guided tour of the Falls followed by a sunset cruise.
- Day 3. Victoria Falls
- Day at leisure to enjoy the Falls area (consider prebooking an elephant-back safari or white-water rafting). Evening dinner at The Boma restaurant
- Days 4-6. Hwange
- Head off to Hwange where you spend three nights in an authentic mobile safari camp. Lots of great wildlife to see here on your game-drives
- Days 7-8. Matobo Hills
- The Matobo Hills are next, where you spend two nights in a safari lodge, Camp Amalinda. Rhinos, black eagles and walking safaris are the order of the day here
- Day 9. Great Zimbabwe Monument
- Take a step back in time and discover the 'early' Zimbabwe at the Great Zimbabwe Monument and stay overnight nearby
- Day 10. Bulawayo
- Drive to Bulawayo in time for your homeward flight
- Day 11. Arrive UK
