At the 4th Annual Festival of Wildlife. Held at King Pacific Lodge, British Columbia, Canada from 16th to 23rd September 2007
Join us for a feast of wildlife at British Columbia's premier wilderness retreat. With a backdrop of forest and with a spectacular seascape in front of you, there is the opportunity to see Black, and Spirit Bears fishing for salmon, River Otters slipping elegantly into the water, and bald eagles soaring overhead. You can also expect Humpback Whales to power out of the ocean for exceptional photo opportunities, and perhaps to have sightings of Orcas, together with Pacific White-sided Dolphins and Dall's Porpoise.
To make the journey even more rewarding and memorable, wildlife experts will be at hand for informal discussion, hot photographic tips and artistic guidance. During free moments you can sip your drink whilst the experts present talks and slide shows on their wildlife passions - all in the idyllic setting that only King Pacific Lodge and British Columbia can provide.
Mandy Shepherd and fellow DSWF wildlife artist Jonathan Truss, will be running wilderness art classes. They will be joined by wildlife photographers Mark Carwardine, Nick Garbutt and David Back who will be giving tips on how to get stunning wildlife images. In addition, this year we will be joined by bear and rainforest expert Ian McAllister, wolf specialist Chris Darimont, and whale experts Janie Wray and Hermann Meuter.
