The Vessels, Information
Adventure Ships
These vessels are small - carrying between 46 and 110 like-minded adventurers - extremely manoeuvrable and capable of reaching areas the larger ships cannot. Frequent zodiac landings, as well as adventure options such as camping, kayaking, cross-country skiing and mountaineering, make these ships ideal for active travellers.

Icebreakers

Under Sail
The sailing vessels are large enough for comfort, privacy and safety, yet small enough to create a good rapport among passengers and crew. About the itineraries
The itineraries included in our Wildlife Cruising section should be read as a guide only. These are voyages to remote and rarely visited parts of the world and the exact route and programme will vary according to ice and weather conditions - and of course the wildlife you encounter along the way. Flexibility is the key to a successful expedition cruise. Visits to research stations, private reserves and protected areas will depend on final permissions.
