Things to see in Namibia: The Africat Foundation
Some four hour's drive north of Windhoek, Okonjima is a great place to stop if you don't want to spend time in the capital. We recommend a two night stay here to give an opportunity to visit the fascinating cheetah project, where you will not only learn about the welfare work done here, but also have an opportunity to track cheetahs on foot, and see leopards from game drive vehicles.
The surrounding woodland is a birdwatcher's paradise with over 200 species, including rare endemics such as Monteiro's hornbill, Hartlaub's francolin and rockrunner.
