Things to see in Ecuador & Galapagos: Cruising the Galapagos

Vessels:

Currently around 80 boats are licensed operate in the Galapagos, including four which run day tours. Recent changes in regulations required vessels to switch to a two-week itinerary composed of two different one-week routes (these one-week routes may still be broken down into three and four-day sectors). This will halve the number of visitors at any one site at any time, and provide an opportunity to experience many less well-known sites - a much more effective and satisfactory way of managing visitors. However, this means that all boats operate at least two itineraries, so if there are particular islands that you wish to visit, you should ensure that they are included in the itinerary you choose. That said, such is the nature of wildlife in the Galapagos that you are unlikely to be disappointed wherever you visit.
Galapagos Vessels
We offer a selection of vessels to take you around the Galapagos. Motor yachts tend to be larger and somewhat faster, while motor sailers offer a more traditional, and romantic, way of getting between the islands, although to eliminate the vagaries of wind and current you'll motor for most of the time.
