Things to see in Uganda and Rwanda: Mgahinga National Park
This corner of Uganda is dominated by three extinct volcanoes, the smallest of which gives its name to the park, which is part of the Virunga Conservation Area. The main draw here was previously mountain gorilla, however the one habituated group now moves between Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC, so can no longer be viewed.
The area also supports buffalo, elephant, leopard, serval and around 180 species of birds, and it is possible to track a habituated group of golden monkeys.
