On this 5-day itinerary to Norway, visit the picturesque village of Andenes for incredible whale watching, an elk safari and to see the spectacular northern lights at night.
During your stay in Andenes, there will be three four-hour whale watching trips, accompanied by marine biologists. In the winter months, large numbers of herring migrate to Andfjorden, which attracts large groups of orca, together with fin, minke, sperm and humpback whales. On the boat trip, you may also spot white-sided dolphin or possibly white-tailed eagle.
On your second night in Andenes, you can join an evening northern lights excursion, taking you on a guided walk to Andenes harbour. Positioned overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this is the perfect location for excellent photographic opportunities.
As well as three whale watching trips, this itinerary also offers the chance to experience an elk safari amidst the snow-covered landscapes.
All activities are guided, while the whale safaris are accompanied by an expert biologist.
