Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is a classic former hunting and fishing lodge that today accommodates those seeking a more eco-friendly adventure. Chalets are in a spacious setting with spectacular views.
This historic lodge, set on private land within the vast wilderness of one of BC's largest protected areas - Tweedsmuir Provincial Park - was originally built in 1929. Rebuilt in the 1950s, accommodation consists of ten chalets for two to four people, while the main lodge contains the public spaces for dining and socialising.
The majestic Coastal Mountains rise from the valley floor, with the largest fjord system in the Americas lying to the west, and the high Chilcotin Plateau to the east, creating a spectacular bio-diverse wilderness that is home to the totemic wildlife of the Great Bear Rainforest. Bears and other wildlife are regularly seen in the grounds, and the lodge organises drift trips down the McKenzie River - perfect for close-up photography of bears feeding.
