Belize has been left untouched for many years. The country’s rainforests are home to over 500 species of bird, around 125 mammals and over 30 species of amphibian. Highlights include keel-billed toucan, alongside a plethora of amphibians such as the green and black poison dart frog and some elusive mammals.

Belize is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is between the months of January and September. At the start of the year it's dry, before turning wetter, which is the best time to enjoy the rainforest.
