Small Group Wildlife Holidays
In some out-of-the-way parts of the world the logistics of travel are so complex, so specialised, or so expensive, that the only realistic way to get around is as part of a small group of travellers. The great advantage is that you can share the experience with other like-minded people, as well as enjoying the savings that group travel brings - the cost of your chartered aircraft, tour vehicle, tour leader and/or wildlife guide is spread over a number of people, thereby reducing the overall price.
Travelling in a small group means you can get to places that would otherwise be difficult, even impossible, to reach on your own, and thus witness some of the world's finest natural spectacles - without breaking the bank.
Look out for this icon as you explore our range of holidays:
In some instances we create our own small group, while in others you may join a small international group of travellers from different countries, which adds considerably to the interest.
Our Top small group holidays:
Most boat trips - from Antarctic expedition voyages to Galapagos wildlife cruises or sailing the rich coastal waters of Canada's British Columbia in 12-metre ketch - of necessity involve joining other passengers and travelling as a group once on board. We rarely charter our own vessel, preferring to offer the convenience and choice of a wider spread of departures.
In North America you can choose from various exciting small group trips: in Canada our trips to see polar bears from Churchill and Gillam, Manitoba province, or summer trips to see Newfoundland's whales and burgeoning wildlife all involve joining a small group; as does, in the USA, a winter trip by snowcoach into Yellowstone National Park to see wolf, elk and bison - all things you cold never contemplate as a solo traveller.
In Africa, our trips in Zambia to the remote areas of Busanga Plains, Bangweulu Swamp and Kasanka, are all small group trips, with a maximum of eight people. In Botswana, Zimbabwe and Uganda too we offer small group trips.
Our expertise, built over many years of creating and operating specialist holidays, means we can select the absolute best any destination has to offer, and combine those different elements into a rewarding itinerary. The itineraries we have created with fixed departure dates provide opportunities to join a small group of enthusiasts to visit some of the world's best known wildlife hotspots to discover the natural world in all its wild and wonderful glory.
Despite this, however, our main focus is still high-quality Tailor-made Wildlife Holidays >>
