Located just back from the mangrove fringed Puttalam Lagoon and with plenty of flora and fauna within its wooded grounds, this high comfort lodge is a perfect base for wildlife enthusiasts.

Situated in the peaceful village of Wanathawilluwa, just a 15-minute drive from the western gateway to Wilpattu National Park and on the edge of Puttalam Lagoon, Cloud 9 Resort offers guests a perfect base for a variety of excursions. 

Accommodation is in spacious bungalows scattered throughout the wooded grounds. Each room features a seating area, patio, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and a modern bathroom. 

The main lodge houses a friendly restaurant serving locally sourced Sri Lankan and international dishes, an outdoor pool and bicycles are available to hire. There are a network of trails close to the lodge where grey slender loris, Indian chameleon and civets are often found. The surrounding paddy fields and wetlands are a favoured hunting ground for small cats and jackals.
