Dolphin Beach Resort

Located on a sandy stretch of the unspoilt Kalpitiya Peninsula, Dolphin Beach Resort offers stylish accommodation in spacious, custom-built, African-style safari tents.

The tents are air conditioned and shaded by thatched roofs, and each is set well apart amidst a grove of coconut palms with sea views. Each unit takes its name from different species of dolphins: spinner, bottlenose, humpback, Risso’s, Fraser's, spotted and striped, etc. 

Each tent has a verandah that provides welcome shade during the day, and a chic en suite bathroom with a rain-shower caps the luxury. Comfortable interiors with king-size beds and unique furnishings turn the living space into an intimate and cosy hideaway. An open-sided pavilion at the heart of the camp serves a range of international fare, and there’s even a wood-fired pizza oven!

The resort is located 100 kilometres north of Colombo airport.
