Elephant Plains Game Lodge is a delightful owner-run property situated on the dry Manyeleti riverbed, in the northern sector of the world-famous Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, renowned for exceptional wildlife viewing.

The main area overlooks an open swathe of the bush and a watering hole where wildlife is often spotted while enjoying a drink on the deck. This part of the property houses a welcoming reception, a lounge and bar area with authentic African décor, a tasteful dining room, wine cellar and small library, along with a curio shop. During the heat of the day, guests are welcome to refresh and relax around the two swimming pools between safaris, or for those looking for a more active stay, a gym and games room can be utilised to keep entertained.

Elephant Plains has been family-owned for more than 50 years and accommodates a maximum of just 24 guests across a range of accommodation options including rondavels, luxury suites and The Manyeleti, the lodge's honeymoon suite. All rooms feature air-conditioning, overhead fan, mosquito net, electronic safe, and mini bar as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Five traditional rondavels with en suite facilities are set within the beautifully landscaped garden of the original family holiday camp and one can still feel the old bushveld charm upon entering. The rondavels each possess a sundeck, which is perfect for observing wildlife during the middle of the day.

The luxury suites offer an exclusive, open-plan environment with high ceilings under thatch and fireplace. Each featuring a comfortable lounge, en suite bathroom and a private viewing deck that offers spectacular views over the riverbed and the surrounding open area.
