Etosha Mountain Lodge is a remarkable luxury property, positioned on a private reserve with expansive views and exceptional wildlife viewing, whilst ensuring an intimate safari experience away from the crowds.

Etosha Mountain Lodge is situated on the exclusive Etosha Heights Private Reserve in the Kamanjab Region of Namibia. At 600 square kilometres, the reserve is one of the largest private reserves in the country and shares a 65 kilometre border with Etosha National Park’s south-western boundary. The landscape comprises, expansive savannah plains punctuated by pods of mopane woodland, thick, riverine forest, rolling hills and life-giving waterholes.

The lodge is perched on the side of a dolomite hill and consists of eight luxury chalets and one family chalet in a classic Namibian style. Built with privacy in mind, each of the air-conditioned chalets is generously spacious, with en suite facilities and enjoys breathtaking 180-degree views of the reserve from the private deck. The family room is equipped with a plunge pool, and WiFi is available for a N$50 donation to the reserve’s anti-poaching program.

The main complex is also blessed with wonderful vistas of the surrounding wilderness, and consists of a reception area, lounge, dining room, bar, curio shop, swimming pool with teak deck and a well-stocked wine cellar.

A former hunting concession, the reserve is now a fantastic photographic safari area with a plethora of species found here on morning and afternoon game drives, including black and white rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, mountain zebra, giraffe, sable, black-faced impala, kudu, eland, oryx, springbok, blue wildebeest, duiker and warthog. Wildlife is often spotted from the waterhole in front of camp, particularly in the dry winter months between May and September, and night drives offer a fascinating insight into the nocturnal realm where many desert-adapted creatures become most active and can be viewed under a spotlight.

For those looking for a more relaxing stay, spa treatments are available at an additional cost.
