Flatdogs Camp offers an excellent range of accommodation from safari tents to luxurious chalets, and is the nearest camp to the Mfuwe main gate, providing easy access to South Luangwa National Park.
The safari tents are spacious, with full sized beds, and lead into an open air bathroom with hot shower, flushing toilet and sink. On the banks of the Luangwa River, they arguably have the best views. Other options include luxurious and spacious stone chalet rooms (including a large family unit), and the unique Jackalberry Tree House, built around three African ebony trees and accommodating up to four guests in two bedrooms. Consisting of three decks, Jackalberry offers views across a lagoon and dambo, regularly visited by elephants and giraffe. For the ultimate luxury, the Crocodile Nest offers a large tented ‘house’ overlooking the Luangwa River, accommodating up to six people and equipped with a private swimming pool.
Flatdogs prides itself on its flexibility and its professionally-guided wildlife viewing activities in the South Luangwa National Park, including morning and night drives and walking safaris (May/June until the end of October).
