Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort is a modern four-star hotel which lies just ten minutes away from the entrance to Udawalawe National Park. The gardens are scattered with tall tropical trees that attracts numerous birds and the occasional monkey.

Set in just over three hectares of lush tropical gardens the hotel spreads across two separate buildings that are linked by an overhead bridge with a winding waterway below. Well-appointed bedrooms and suites are housed in one building while a spacious restaurant is in another. There are 79 rooms and suites spread across three wings they each open on to their own private terrace or a balcony with a garden view. In-room facilities include air conditioning, overhead fan, satellite TV and all the other facilities one would expect of a hotel this standard including a swimming pool and a separate children’s pool.
