Nestled beside the river from which it takes its name, Kapamba is a small, comfortable bushcamp in a remote, unspoilt and wildlife rich location, with exceptional guiding.
Around three - four hours away from the park entrance gate (or there's an air-strip close by for private charters), Kapamba offers 180 degree views of the river from the communal lounge, bar and dining area, complete with plunge pool and a charging area using UK plug sockets.
The vistas continue from all four sizeable and gorgeous open fronted, en suite chalets that are shaded by matumi and sausage trees. Equipped with mosquito net, fan, toiletries, laundry service and wrought iron shutters that are pulled across at night, two of the chalets feature an elevated sala facilitating afternoon siestas or indeed sleep outs under the stars!
Game drives are available day and night, but the focus here's on walking safaris led by expert guides. These are exceptional, with numerous trails beside the river taking you through untouched wilderness as you follow in the footsteps of the great explorers.
Open between April and January, children aged 12 years and above are welcome and a stay here can easily be combined with one or more of Kapamba's sister bushcamps; Bilimungwe, Chindeni, Chamilandu, Zungulila or Kuyenda.
