Situated in the east of Etosha National Park and built from an old German Fort, Namutoni Camp has a unique atmosphere and offers ample facilities.

The fort was built by the German Schutztruppe in 1902/3 and rebuilt in 1906 after the Ovambo people destroyed the original building. The fort then served as a police post and later as a South African army base before being declared a national monument in 1950. It was opened to tourism in 1957. Namutoni Camp’s rooms are all en suite and tastefully furnished with modern amenities. The camp has lovely grounds in which to relax by the pool, or sit with a drink at the bar and watch the sunset!
